About the Journal
The Bhutan Journal of Natural Resources and Development, BJNRD, publishes quality research articles online and print biennially. The journal is published by the Centre for Rural Development Studies of the College of Natural Resources, the Royal University of Bhutan. It aims to promote scholarly activities among academicians and publish research articles that are of relevance to Bhutanese people and are of scientific interests in the field of agriculture, animal husbandry, forestry, environment, wildlife science, nature conservation, rural development, and social science. Articles published are grouped into research articles, reviews, and short communication.
Open Access Policy
All articles published in BJNRD are Open Access and are absolutely free. The articles published in the BJNRD are registered under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 unless stated otherwise. The BJNRD allows unrestricted non-profit use of its contents if adequate credit is given to authors and the publication source.
All articles published in BJNRD are double-blind peer reviewed. Articles are reviewed by at least two referees. In case of disagreement in the decisions of the reviewers, advice of a third party is sought. In case of inconclusive decision however, final decision is also made by the subject editors and the Chief Editor. All the subject editors and the reviewers are volunteers from the scientific communities who are experts in their fields.
BJNRD does not charge any processing fee for submission and processing of articles. Online publications are Open Access and are absolutely free. Print publication is however subject to postal handling charges. No membership fee is charged for editorial board membership. Submitted articles can be withdrawn within two weeks before the review process has begun. Withdrawal of articles once the review process has commenced is subject to a penalty of Nu. 200.
DOI and Archives
All articles published in BJNRD are provided with unique DOI numbers. The published articles are archived in at least two libraries of Bhutan for safe keeping.
BJNRD supports scientific ethics and does not tolerate scientific misconduct. Falsification of data, plagiarism, copyright violation, and submission in multiple journals simultaneously are not tolerated. BJNRD reserves the right to expose such articles and charge befitting penalty.
Conflict of Interest
Authors are required to declare conflict of interest. Funding source can be acknowledged, but funding agent should not have any stake in influencing the results and discussion. Editors and reviewers should disclose conflict of interest to remove competing interest.
